Riding a bike
Cycling-tourism is a form of tourism that has gained more and more fans.
Having Dubova as temporary stop you can then ride along the D.N 57
(asphalted road) to Orsova, 25 km, passing by “Little Gorges” and the
megalithic statue of Decebal (the biggest in Europe). In Orsova you can
visit the Catholic Church (unique by its architecture) or the Orthodox
Monastery of “St.Ana”. If you are heading for Moldova Noua, on the same
road but the opposite direction from Dubova, you can go to Svinita (the
biggest Serbian community in Romania) passing by “Tri Kule”- the ruins
of three towers dating since the times of Maria Teresa. Those who like
the mountains can climb to Eibenthal (15 km) a village inhabited by
“pemi”, meaning Czechs come from Bohemia.
